What does the Supabase integration do?

It connects Dreambase to your Supabase project through OAuth and reads your real Postgres, not a proxy or a copy. Your schema gets scanned into a semantic layer, and from then on anyone on the team can ask questions in plain English and get dashboards and reports without bolting on trackers.

During onboarding you also get a Report Card: a health check covering RLS coverage, indexes, logs, and performance patterns.

What can you ask about your Supabase data?

Common questions about Supabase and Dreambase

What permissions does Dreambase request?

The lightest set that gets approved, mostly read. SQL read and write is requested only because Supabase MCP requires it, and Dreambase operates read-first.

Does my data leave Supabase?

No. Dreambase reads your real Postgres in place. Your database stays the source of truth, and you can validate any result directly in Supabase.

Does row level security still apply?

Yes. Your existing RLS and project scoping stay in force. Dreambase works within them, not around them.

Which projects can Dreambase see?

Only the project you select. Access is scoped per project, and you choose it during connection.
